Tazer’s Alternate is a new trail that bypasses the first series of granite rock rolls on Rupert. It is a moderately difficult trail, offering riders a less risky route around a section of Rupert. Built by Rob Phoenix, this alternate trail will be available as an option for the Squamish stage of the BC Bike Race and future Gearjammer or JABR races.
The beginning of Tazer’s is just around the corner from the Rupert sign. The trail directs you through Tazer’s dog house and winds through the forest before re-connecting with Rupert near the wave-like ladder bridge. The trail gently descends 29 metres over its 257 metre length.

My husband, Rob Phoenix, actually built this trail and the dog house was built with the help of my dad, Alan Riches, Dave Heisler, and his dad, Roman Heisler.
Hi Julie, thanks for clarifying and providing this information! I have updated the trail description accordingly. Cheers, Brendan
