Penthouse Slab is a double-black diamond trail that was built as a connector trail between Value Added and Two Stroke Smoke. It is suitably named for its long granite slab and great views of the Sound, and provides riders with a few line options. From the top of the slab, keep right of the 2 slab lines and keep right into the forest to reach the 6-foot+ vertical drop onto the main slab. For those of you who have more sanity, follow the slab route on the right and continue along to reach the main slab from below the drop. If the full slab is too much, alternative routes part-way down are available to bypass some of the difficult sections. The slab culminates into a series of rock rolls toward the bottom.
Penthouse Slab can be accessed along End Hole Connector after a minute’s ride beyond the entrance of Room with a View, or from the bottom of Value Added. From the bottom of the slab, keep right to reach the start of Icy Hole of Death, or keep left to reach the gravel road. From the gravel road, turn right to access Two Stroke Smoke. Turn left onto the gravel road to access Hueso, or continue downhill along the gravel road to reach Perth Dr.
