Lower Powersmart is an intermediate xc-style trail with some moderately technical descents and a few short uphills over its 900m length. As such, the trail is occasionally used in local toonie races and in Gear Jammer and JABR races. Throughout the year, this forested trail retains its vibrancy and lushness perhaps more than any other trail in Squamish.
Lower Powersmart can be accessed along the Northside Connector gravel road, close to where the road splits to head up to Fred. The end of the trail opens up onto a logging road that follows a few hundred metres before reaching Plum Smugglers which flows directly into Word of Mouth.
