Another Man’s Gold

Another Man’s Gold is one of the most fun (although short) trails to ride in Squamish. This trail is perfect for those seeking a fast and controlled ride with opportunities to get a little air. Another Man’s Gold can be very easily accessed directly behind the parking lot at the bottom of Half Nelson along Garibaldi Park Road. As such, it follows the flowy pump track style of Half Nelson for those looking for more after completing Half Nelson. Almost half-way down, the trail continues on the left side of the junction with Fool’s Gold. Shortly after the junction, the trail slows a bit and becomes bumpier with thin roots crossing the trail. The final section gives you the option to continue along a U-turn or to cut straight down a very short and somewhat steep downhill below to bypass the U-turn. Either route takes you along the river.

Extend your ride by taking Darwin’s Crossing across the river and follow up Ring Creek Rip. This leads to a network of trails such as Powerhouse Plunge, Power Hoods, Hoods in the Woods, Bonzai, and Somewhere Over There. Instead of crossing the bridge at the bottom of Another Man’s Gold, you can follow the trail along the river for a very short ride to access Garibaldi Park Road closer to Quest University.
