McLeod is a short black diamond trail that has some moderately technical downhill portions. There are a few small logs crossing the trail at multiple points that can be either rolled or used as small jumps. The trail carries good speed until the steep roll at the end.
Access is from the Ring Creek FSR from the parking lot at the bottom of Half Nelson. The trailhead is between the entrance of Home Brew and Pseudo Tsuga. From the bottom, turn right onto the gravel road to access Pseudo Tsuga 2, or turn left to access the lower half of Low Down. If you’re seeking more of a thrill, turn left on the gravel road to access Expecting to Fly.
