Lumberjacks

Lumberjacks is an intermediate-level trail with a cross-country feel. The trailhead is easily accessed across the road from the bottom of Rollercoaster, located near the dead-end of Perth Drive. This is a fun route for those en route to Alice Lake. It is slightly more technical than Rollercoaster, but trail improvements here have made it more flowy. There is only approximately 40 metres of elevation change along the trail, giving riders the chance to bike the trail backwards.

The end of Lumberjacks spills out onto a gravel rd. Turn right onto this, and turn left 50 metres ahead to head towards Jacks trail and Alice Lake. To head towards Perth Rd, take the first 2 rights in the opposite direction as Jacks. This leads you heading up and up a gravel road that will lead you directly above the dead-end of Perth. Alternatively, in order to avoid all this ascending, ride Lumberjacks backwards. This is very do-able for nearly the entire trail, requiring very brief hike-a-bikes for the remaining sections.
