Boney Elbows

Boney Elbows is a great choice for those looking for a trail with a good number of slabs. All the slabs along the main line are not nearly as intimidating as those of the double-black diamonds, making for an overall cruisy descent. However, if a cruisy descent sounds like a bore to you, there are 2 optional rolls that certainly offer more of a challenge. Look for the alternate line to your right near the beginning of the trail for a long, steep granite slab. Just keep i mind that you’ll also need to look out for the tree at the bottom of the slab that has more than a few marks from handlebars smashing into it. Once reconnected with the main trail, there is a pretty short uphill that leads you to the first unobstructed view over Squamish. Weaving your way from one slab to the next, you’ll meet the second optional line in the forest. Turn left to continue on the main line, or continue straight ahead for the advanced route and get ready for a bumpy ride.

To access Boney Elbows, follow Entrails past the large granite whaleback to the junction with End-Hole Connector. Follow End-Hole Connector for 12.9 seconds to the first trail along your left. Welcome to Boney Elbows! Once at the bottom, turn left on the gravel road to head toward either Rollercoaster or Perth Drive. Turning right on the gravel road will lead you to the top of Gouranga, Highway to Hell, Hueso, or Two Stroke Smoke.
